How do I find out if a domain name is available?

Author: Simple, go to this page and enter the domain name into the search box, then select the domain type such as .com or .co.uk (these are the 2 most common domains), then click ‘Go’.
You will be presented with the results of your search, if the domain you entered is available you can then go ahead and purchase it.
If it isn’t available you can tick some more domain types (know as extensions) and then try again, or you can enter a new domain name and start over.
