Easynet Failure

Today all of Easynet’s circuits failed.
At approx 08:35 today a switch/router has failed bringing all of thier data circuits down, even their support line staff have no internet conenction, they cannot access thier website so cannot post any information about this to thier customers, therefore thier phones are on meltdown which approx 50+ in queue at any time.

Currently the fix time is unknown.

Simple, go to this page and enter the domain name into the search box, then select the domain type such as .com or .co.uk (these are the 2 most common domains), then click ‘Go’.
You will be presented with the results of your search, if the domain you entered is available you can then go ahead and purchase it.
If it isn’t available you can tick some more domain types (know as extensions) and then try again, or you can enter a new domain name and start over.

cPanel DNS Only Bug

The latest relase of cPanels DNS Only server has a minor bug resulting in emails being sent every 5 minutes containing:
“Cmd Service Check Raw Output: cpanellogd is not running”

This is easily fixed as follows:
- Remove ‘cpanellogd:1′ from /etc/chkserv.d/chkservd.conf
- Delete /etc/chkserv.d/cpanellogd
- Delete /var/run/chkservd/cpanellogd
- touch /etc/cpanellogddisable
- Run /scripts/restartsrv_tailwatchd
